Human trafficking web chat (16 Jun 2015)

Mark Burns-Williamson, West Yorkshire's Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), will be holding a live web chat to talk about human trafficking next week.

The web chat will start at 7pm on Thursday, 25th June, and is an opportunity for you to ask the PCC about what's being done to tackle the issue of human trafficking.

Mark Burns-Williamson said: "It's important that I'm able to reach communities and web chats are a great way of communicating with them for getting to those who we might not otherwise. I want to ensure that the views, needs and expectations of the people in West Yorkshire are taken into account at all times

"Human trafficking is a terrible crime which involves many victims. It is one of the key priorities in my Police and Crime Plan and I have made a personal commitment to help those affected. As such, I have provided funding to West Yorkshire Police to set up a specialist Human Trafficking Unit which researches and investigates human trafficking - it is only the second of its sort in the country."

You can join in the web chat and sign up for an email reminder here /news-events/web-chats.aspx

Anyone who would like to submit a question ahead of time can do so via Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #AskYourPCC or via email to [email protected]
