PCC Statement in relation to assault in Holmfirth

Statement from West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson, in relation to assault in Holmfirth yesterday (3rd June).
He said: “I am aware of the incident in Holmfirth last night involving three youths. Racism of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated in West Yorkshire; swift action was taken by West Yorkshire Police to arrest those individuals involved and there will be a thorough police investigation into the incident.
“As there is an ongoing police investigation and two individuals now in custody, it would be inappropriate for me to comment further at this time as proceedings are currently active.”
