What personal information we collect

The Police and Crime Commissioner processes personal information, including name, contact details and, if required, bank account details, of advisers and professional experts who are contracted to seek advice.

The Police and Crime Commissioner also processes the advice or opinion given by the adviser or expert by way of a 'public task'.

Why we process this information

We process this information in order to fulfil the Police and Crime Commissioner's contractual obligations and as a 'public task' by way of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 and the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information) Order 2012 .

Who we share it with

This information may be shared with West Yorkshire Police who process information on our behalf in order to make payments.

We may also share information with South Yorkshire Police who process information on our behalf in order to support procurement and tendering processes.

The Police and Crime Commissioner is obliged, via the Elected Local Policing Bodies (Specified Information) Order 2012, publish details of all payments over £500 which includes information about who received the payment.

The Police and Crime Commissioner must share information about payments to suppliers and other organisations with our external auditors.

Your rights

You have a right to access the personal information that we process. This is a subject access request and can be made by contacting the Data Protection Officer at the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office. ([email protected] or by telephone 01924 294000). You also have the right to have inaccurate data rectified.

Where we process information on the basis of a 'public task' you have the right to object to processing. You can do this by contacting the Data Protection Officer at the Police and Crime Commissioner's Office. ([email protected]).
