Body Worn Cameras

Police wearing body worn video

West Yorkshire Police's technological transformation has taken another step forward.

The Force has agreed a contract that sees officers and staff across the county wearing the latest state of the art body worn video cameras during their duties.

Following a pilot of the devices in the Bradford District in May 2016, a phased roll out began.

West Yorkshire Police and Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson has invested over £2 million pounds from a 'Transformation Fund' to support the project.
