Community Remedy
The Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act came into force in June 2014 and replaced the existing powers used to tackle anti-social behaviour with a smaller more refined set of tools intended to give professionals the flexibility to deal with any given situation and be victim focused. One of those tools is the community remedy.
The community remedy is a list of actions which may be considered by the police in consultation with the victim for the offender to undertake in consequence of their behaviour or offending. The list sets out the types of actions available.
